1 - How much should I expect to pay for a quality patio set?

As with most purchases, there is a wide range of prices. Many of the patio sets we carry will start in the $1500.00 – $1800.00 range for four chairs and a glass table. The style of chair, type of sling and padding and the type and size of the table will affect the price. The majority of our customers probably spend in the $1800.00 – $2500.00 range for quality and comfortable furniture made in the USA.

2 - Is there any type of warranty on patio furniture?

Absolutely! How does a 15 warranty on the frame sound to you? How about a 5 year warranty on the finish, 3 years on faux tables and vinyl straps, 2 years on the fabric and a full year on umbrellas! Guaranteed you won’t find that with the imported furniture!

3 - What are the advantages of different types of fabrics?

Specialty weaves are best for sling chairs. Cushions can be covered with a soft fabric for a plush feel. Fabrics for high quality, outdoor furniture goes through a series of stretching, abrasion and UV stability. The different type of fabrics use mildew inhibitors and UV stabilizers for the ultimate look and feel. The life of your outdoor fabric depends on how it is cared for and maintained. Regular cleaning of these fabrics is recommended.

4 - How do I clean my patio furniture?

Most furniture can be washed or sprayed down with a hose using clear water. Or, use a mild soap and water solution to remove dust, dirt, mildew, pollens, etc. For polyester vinyl coated, acrylic, olefin blends and acrylic/polyester blended fabrics: if the area remains slightly stained, add 1 cup of chlorine bleach to the cleaning solution and repeat the process using a soft brush if necessary. Avoid the use of any abrasive cleaners and power washers. Remember to thoroughly rinse to remove any soapy residues. Place a cushion on its side to allow the water to drain much faster and the cushion to dry faster. For slings and padded slings, simply shake briskly to remove excess moisture and allow to air dry. Never use a washer and dryer to clean slings or cushions. A clear car wax such as Turtlewax Clear or Clear Mop & Glo can be used to prolong and protect the look and life of the powder-coated frames.

5 - What’s better, a steel frame or an aluminum framed patio furniture?

Neither is “better” or “worse” than the other. Both are relatively easy to clean and maintain. Both have a powder coat paint finish that is very durable and requires little upkeep. Aluminum frames are lighter and do not weigh as much as steel frames … … which could be an advantage when carrying to and from a storage area. The heavier steel frames are a distinct advantage if your deck or patio is located in a windy spot.

6 - What’s the best type of finish for outdoor metal patio furniture

Powder coating is definitely the best finish for outdoor furniture. Before painting, the furniture frames go through an extremely thorough cleaning system on the inside and outside of the tubular steel. A baked on primer then coats the inside and outside of the steel. The powder coat finish on our outdoor furniture is an electrostatic charged paint process that is significantly less likely to chip than enamel paint. In fact, the tubular steel is more apt to dent before the paint chips! The manufacturer is so confident about the quality and reliability of this finish, they offer a 5 year warranty against any manufacturing defects.

7 - Is there a significant difference in patio furniture frame design?

All are quality and time tested designs that will last for dozens of years. What about replacement parts and service for patio sets?We have many parts in stock. How Much Should You Spend Again?

Or as John Rusking (1819 - 1900) said:

"It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money, that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the item you purchased was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It cannot be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run. And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better. There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and people who consider the price alone are this man’s lawful prey."
